Hong Kong & Macau Short Trip

After 3 weeks of work in Guangzhou , finally is the day that I can enjoy a short trip with my travel kaki (mates). On Friday after work, straightaway I proceed to Guangzhou East Railway and on my way to meet up my travel mates at Avenue of Stars (Hong Kong).

There are many ways to Hong Kong from Guangzhou. I don’t want to waste time waiting, so decided to choose the most frequency train service. From Guangzhou – Lo Wu – Hong Kong.
Train service from Guangzhou to Lo Wu is about 1.5 hours and costs only RMB 80. While the journey from Lo Wu to Hung Hom and Kowloon is about 45 min and costs about HKD 35. After exit from Hong Kong Immigration at Lo Wu border, take the MRT East Rail Line train and get off at Hung Hom station. Interchange train to the West Rail Line and get off at East Tsim Sha Tsui station and then take Exit J to Avenue of Stars.
When I reached Avenue of Stars (Hong Kong) it rains cats and dogs. I walked in the rain without umbrella to meet up with my gang.  The place is very crowded, after I manage to meet up with my friend, I feel so tired with my whole body wet makes me no mood to capture the beautiful night sense at the Avenue of Stars. After the symphony of light show, we went to Hui Lau San for dessert.
Hui Lau Shan Healthy Dessert - Shop No.6, G/F, Star House, 3 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong

After a walk at Lan Kwai Fong, I still feel hungry,  we went for supper… hehehe… very nice and fresh fish ball and beef ball.. Highly recommended!! Thumb Up
香港仔一品鱼蛋王 - Nanking St, Jordan, Hong Kong

When on the way back to hotel, we saw dessert stall again … hehehe… I cant say no to nice dessert, therefore we stopped at the shop for water chestnut dessert (马蹄粟米露)

After a good rest, we planned to have dim sum at Lin Heong Lau, the dim sum taste was not as good as the first time we had it. Do not expect any inspirin decoration here. The large hall is always bustling and busy but the atmosphere is still good, as it gives us a chance to experience the real Hong Kong yum cha spririt.

This dish costs us HKD100, come with char siew (barbecued pork) , siew yok (roasted pork) and siew ngo (roasted goose) . I love th char siew very much.. Yummy

After morning breakfast. We proceed to Citygate Outlet Mall at Tong Chung. The most convenient ways to reach Citygate Outlets is by MTR. Simply take the Tung Chung line through Interchange from Hong Kong Station, Nam Cheong Station or Lai King Station to Tung Chung Station and Citygate Outlets entrance is right at the Exit C.

We stopped at pacific coffee for a drink and rest after few hours of shopping at the outlet mall.

Around 4pm we went for Ngong Ping 360 cable car ride. Rosalyn bought the ticket from Ding Ding which only cost HKD86 for to and fro while the published price is HKD 115 for both ways.

Ngong Ping Cable Car is a visually spectacular 5.7km bi-cable ropeway. The cable car journey begins from Tung Chung, crossing Tung Chung Bay to reach the angle station on Airport Island and turning about 60 degrees in the air towards North Lantau.

Ngon Ping Village

The calf is so cute. We took the chance to go near him and snapped some picture. hehehe

Wisdom Path

From Po Lin Monastery it's a short walk to the Wisdom Path, a wooden version of the famous 260-word prayer 'Heart Sutra'. It is made up of 38 wooden rectangular beams varying in height from 8-to-10 metres in the shape of a figure eight to represent infinity. Each beam bears a portion of the prayer, which is written in traditional Chinese characters.
Many people say no trip to Hong Kong would be complete without a visit to the Giant Buddha which sits serenely atop Ngong Ping plateau amid the spectacular mountain scenery of Lantau Island. hehe... therefore here we are - Giant Buddha... ^.^

I love this picture very much ^.^

Cute ...

Bye bye Tai Yu Shan

Airport night view

Night view around 6:30pm. When reached the lower peak cable car station. We continue to shop at Citygate. hehehe

We had our dinner at Tak Hing around 10:30pm.. Crazy group.
I still prfer Kepong Hou Jie (好记) Steamboat very much. Tak Hing not really suits my taste bud. :)

Hong Kong Chatime, the milk tea is good but the pearls are too small.

Long queue for our turn to go into the shop. The waiting time is about 20 min for a table for 3.
Wow... dish washer's salary is not bad oh...

The scramble egg is superb... Steam milk is fine and the fresh milk is rich and delicious.. Yummy... A must visit place in Hong Kong.

Fishball again while waiting for Rosalyn ... heheh

Wo Mei Congee
Eat again at ... The porridge is fine and nice. Absolutely value for money.

Bye Bye Hong Kong.. Goodrich is small and cozy 3 star hotel. Do not expect spacious room, the location of the hotel is the token of compensation of the tiny room.... hehehe

We took jetboat to Macau it costs us HKD160 per way on Sunday.

This is our hotel in Macau. At last I have more walking space in the room. I love this specious hotel very much although is a bit pricy. With the value of money it is worthy due to the big room and strategic location. It is just few shops besides Hotel Lisboa hehehe...

Cafe e Nata Margaret's

After 1 hour rest, we proceed to hunt for food. First stop: Portuguese tart at Margaret's Cafe, the famous tart in Macau. Once you try the first bite, you can resist the temptation of having the second serving.

鸡蛋仔

 Crowded street

I wonder how long it takes to finish the bottle.. hehehe ^.^
